On September 29-30, 2021, will take place the Regional Final of the world’s largest green business ideas competition, ClimateLaunchpad.
For the first time in 6 years of the competition in Ukraine, the Regional Final for Eastern Europe and the Middle East will be held here. ClimateLaunchpad Ukraine national lead greencubator organizes the final.
Startups from 12 countries will compete in the Regional selection: Cyprus, Hungary, Israel, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Kosovo, Pakistan, Romania, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine. In total, this year’s competition brought together 56 countries from around the world.
Three winners of National selections get to the Regional Final. The Ukrainian winners this year are:
- 1st winner is Kolo.Track — B2B marketplace for organic products with an AI credibility score
- 2nd winner is Grow With You — green kids stuff subscription service
- 3rd winner is BIOC — corn starch-based polymer production.
The teams will pitch on adaptation and sustainability, clean energy, urban solutions, the circular economy, sustainable mobility, food systems, and the “next big thing.” Each team will have 5 minutes for a pitch and 3 minutes for the jury’s questions.
This year the star mentors of the Regional Final are:
- Frans Nauta, ClimateLaunchpad and Climate-KIC Startup Accelerator founder.
- Ran Sasson, ClimateLaunchpad Israel national lead whose career has spanned over 20 years, covering rural entrepreneurship ecosystem developer, IT consulting, project management, product development, and involvement with start-ups.
- Roman Zinchenko – ClimateLaunchpad Ukraine national lead, Ukrainian cleantech and smart energy evangelist, co-founder of Greencubator.
There will also be several workshops for startups, investors, and guests on the art of a pitch, life after getting invested, growing your startup internationally, developing hardware startups in cleantech from the previous years’ Ukrainian winners.
Regional Final winners will be announced on the second day of the event. They will get the right to pitch at the Grand Final. The main stage of the Grand Final opens access to green entrepreneurs’ global network, making it possible to meet potential partners, investors, and customers and promote startups globally. The strongest teams win money prizes and get into the powerful EIT Climate-KIC accelerator.
