11 Ukrainian companies have become winners of the fourth wave of the final phase of the Climate Innovation Vouchers project – the largest grant competition in Ukraine for innovators in climate-friendly technologies.

The official award ceremony will take place on 23 September 2025 at UNIT.City in Kyiv.

This landmark event will not only honor the winners but also showcase the eight years of the Climate Innovation Vouchers’ impact in Ukraine, introduce leading grantees, and highlight the project’s contribution to the growth of Ukraine’s green innovation ecosystem.

To celebrate these achievements, the ceremony will bring together ecosystem leaders, investors, donors, international partners, government representatives, and diplomatic missions from several countries. The event will also feature a panel discussion, “Green innovations through war: how Ukraine is shaping Europe’s climate future”, with speakers including Olena Pavlenko, President of the DiXi Group think tank, Ryan Grant Little, climate tech entrepreneur, investor, and host of the Another ClimateTech podcast, alongside other leading experts in green innovation.

About the Climate Innovation Vouchers project

The Climate Innovation Vouchers grant program is part of the EBRD’s Finance and Technology Transfer Centre for Climate Change (FINTECC), supported by the EU under the EU4CLIMATE initiative. In Ukraine, it has been implemented since 2017 by NGO Greencubator.

The competition supports Ukrainian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve energy efficiency, and tackle climate change. Winning companies can use their vouchers for various innovation needs – from IP protection and prototype industrial design to product certification and engineering their production facilities. Grants of up to €50,000 cover 75% of the declared service costs.

In 2024, Climate Innovation Vouchers won the national stage of the European Enterprise Promotion Awards for its contribution to entrepreneurship development in Ukraine and received special recognition at the European level in the “Supporting the Sustainable Transition” category.

The program has helped create key technologies at the core of many Ukrainian green innovations. Among them: TOKA, GO TO-U, Ecofactor (leaders in EV charging solutions), S.Lab (eco-packaging manufacturer), Frendt (precision farming solutions), Releaf Paper (paper made from fallen leaves), The Good Plastic Company (innovative recycled plastic panel design), and others.

Since its launch in 2017, Climate Innovation Vouchers has become the largest green innovation grant program in Ukraine: over 50 companies have received more than €2 million in support. In its final wave, another 11 innovators will share about €400,000 to advance climate-friendly technologies.
