Now "our Academy" teaches us, through accessible, practical sessions, proven solutions for the simplified implementation of the real, necessary projects our communities need, building experience in deploying alternative energy sources and forming a system of energy independence for municipal infrastructure. "The Energy Resilience Academy is not abstract theory but a powerful practical tool. Thanks to this program, we managed to thoroughly structure a large-scale project to modernize the city's heating network: deploying a hybrid system built around a cogeneration unit (160 kW) and a biomass boiler (4 MW). The most valuable part was that every piece of homework, from calculating CAPEX and OPEX to the communication plan and risk analysis, fed directly into our future application for donors. Thanks to the knowledge we gained, we developed a clear, step-by-step plan that will let the community cut natural gas consumption by more than 80% (saving 1.27 million cubic meters) and save around 4 million hryvnias per season.
