Greencubator has received the national Ukrainian Enterprise Promotion Awards (UEPA) for helping innovative companies to develop, implement and scale climate technologies thanks to the EBRD-EU Climate Innovation Vouchers grant project!
The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine hosted the official award ceremony as part of the conference “Economic Policy of Ukraine: Recovery During the War”. The event brought together over 250 participants. Topics discussed included Ukraine’s economic strategy, new initiatives, and digital tools for business development under martial law.
Among the speakers at the event was Yulia Svyrydenko, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Economy of Ukraine. The event featured a panel discussion with representatives of the Ministry, the Business Ombudsman, and business founders, as well as the awarding of entrepreneurs who are leaders in their industries and organisations that promote the development of small and medium-sized enterprises.
First Deputy Minister of Economy Oleksii Sobolev and European Union Delegate to Ukraine Henrik Huitfeldt presented the UEPA Award to Roman Zinchenko, Head of Greencubator, and Olga Zubchyk, Project Manager of Climate Innovation Vouchers.
The Climate Innovation Vouchers programme is part of the EBRD‘s Finance and Technology Transfer Centre for Climate Change (FINTECC) programme, supported by the European Union through the EU4CLIMATE initiative. Ukraine was the first country to benefit from the EBRD’s Innovation Voucher Scheme, and today, it is one of the largest grant schemes in Ukraine for innovators in green and climate-friendly technologies.
We are grateful for the award and are pleased that the state recognises the Climate Innovation Vouchers programme as valuable and promising.
As one of the UEPA winners, we look forward to representing Ukraine at the European EEPA Awards from Promoting Enterprise in November 2024 in Hungary!
