PowerUp! InnoEnergy

PowerUp! is a climate startup competition organized by leading European cleantech accelerator InnoEnergy carried out in 24 countries. The winners get access to one of the best acceleration programs Innoenergy Highway with 150 000 euro total prize fund and 30 000 euro first prize.

InnoEnergy is the innovation engine for sustainable energy across Europe supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology.

“Startup City” Book

We have translated and published in Ukrainian one of the leading methodologies for entrepreneurial ecosystem development — the book “Startup City” from the founders of StartupAmsterdam. For hundreds of Ukrainian mayors and local government stakeholders it became a hands-on guide to making their cities and towns startup-friendly.

Award Ceremony of Climate Innovation Vouchers Program

Climate Innovation Vouchers

Initiated by EBRD and funded by EU this program is Ukraine’s largest grant facility for businesses developing or implementing climate innovation with total available financing of EUR 1 000 000. Greencubator has developed the program design and now manages all the Climate Innovation Vouchers program activities, including beneficiaries outreach, development of service providers network, handling the application and selection process, projects monitoring and results’ evaluation. Ukraine became the first country within EBRD operation area, to launch such a  program.

As of April 2019 Climate Innovation Vouchers program has provided grant financing worth approximately EUR 1  000 000 to 30 carefully selected companies. The Program is implemented by the NGO Greencubator, launched as a part of the EBRD program “Finance and Technology Transfer Centre for Climate Change” (FINTECC), funded by the European Union.

ClimateLaunchpad

ClimateLaunchpad is the world’s largest green business ideas competition. Its mission is to unlock the world’s entrepreneurial cleantech potential to address climate change issue. This competition sets up a stage for those green ideas propelling them towards real business that makes a difference and creates green economy.

ClimateLaunchpad is part of the Entrepreneurship offerings of EIT Climate-KIC, Greencubator acts as the national lead for Ukrainian chapter of ClimateLaunchpad. Since bringing ClimateLaunchpad to Ukraine in 2016 Greencubator has organised 3 national selection cycles, held 3 national bootcamps and finals competitions helping over 60 cleantech entrepreneurs to improve their business models and bringing 9 national finalists to the ClimateLaunchpad Global Grand Final. Ukrainian CLP participants won two prizes at the Global Finals of 2017 and 2018 and suсcessfully landed investments and grants from other cleantech support programs.

TeslaCamp

Starting from 2013, Greencubator runs energy camp called TeslaCamp. That is an open-air renewables-powered energy innovations camp, organized by NGO Greencubator, dedicated to the future of energy markets. TeslaCamp 2018 was located at cozy and green part of Dnipro river bank added some special vibes to the event.

Hack4energy

Starting 2015, Greencubator launched its series of parallel hackathons for solving the most critical energy challenges of Ukraine.

Via the network of innovation hubs and partner across the country we were able to connect at peak event 11 cities in joint video-connected network, producing dozens of projects and prototypes.

Hack4energy become one of the largest parallel distributed hackathons in Europe.
