Our team is finalizing the agreement with Ukrainian local communities on launching local energy initiatives center. The new project will help Ukrainian cities to efficiently implement local energy initiatives, stimulate competition and openness on local energy markets.
The center will be physically located on the territory of one of the smaller Ukrainian cities. It is planned that Center will feature a local microgrid with several renewable energy generation facilities. It will also include advanced energy management components and numerous other solutions aimed at making local energy markets in Ukrainian cities democratic and inclusive.
The Center will act as a demonstration site as well as R&D facility. Another important component of the Center will be its educational capacities. The project will allow other cities from Ukraine and Eastern Europe to learn about the best approaches to developing local energy initiatives.
The ideology of the Center is adherent to the upcoming European 4th energy package, emphasizing the importance of localized production and consumption of energy from renewable energy sources.
Greencubator invites technical and financial partners to join this exciting project and make future energy in Ukrainian cities truly local, renewable and climate-friendly.
