Ukrainian cleantech startups debut at Ecosummit, Europe’s major cleantech investment conference

Three Ukrainian green startups debut today at Ecosummit in Berlin as a part of the delegation organized by greencubator and funded by Western NIS Enterprise Fund.

Launched in 2010, EcoSummit has become Europe’s leading platform for matching climate-positive innovators and leading green investors. Greencubator’s first visit to EcoSummit Dusseldorf in 2012 lead to the first group of Ukrainian cleantech startup presenting at CeBIT in 2013.

Teams representing Ukraine today at EcoSummit are:

  • Ecoisme – AI home energy monitoring system, launched at Greencubator TeslaCamp in 2013
  • PassivDom – developer of off-grid, 3D-printed, mobile modular passive houses
  • Yunasko – developer and licensor of energy storage technologies: ultracapacitors and lithium-ion capacitors.

Jan Michael Hess, CEO and founder of EcoSummit, says: «I’m really happy that today at Ecosummit we have startups from Ukraine. EcoSummit is a global brand and we look forward to opening new markets. From what I saw in the Ukrainian startups’ pitch-decks – they are good and some of them are going to be big in a few years.»

Greencubator and EcoSummit teams are also considering the opportunity of launching EcoSummit Kyiv event together in the future.
